Community Solutions (CS) will participate in Oregon's USDA Certified Agricultural Mediation Program (OCAMP), developed and managed by the Six Rivers Dispute Resolution Center in Hood River, Oregon. Along with the Eastern Oregon Mediation Center in La Grande, Oregon, our mediators will work in partnership to implement OCAMP in Central Oregon counties. Agricultural cases developed by and approved for Agricultural Mediation (AgMed) by Six Rivers, will be assigned to our mediators to handle farm credit/loans and farm land/crop disputes. The AgMed related training, certification, and case management provided by Six Rivers will serve to streamline OCAMP implementation in Crook, Deschutes, Jefferson, Harney, and Lake counties. Also, mediators will be provided reimbursement for mileage on case-related travel. And with recent passage of the Oregon 'Right to Farm' law, the Oregon Department of Agriculture will be looking for qualified mediators to apply and be compensated for additional casework related to farm/farmer co-existence disputes - a related but separate program under development.
