Community Solutions (CS) recently contracted with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (ORPD) to provide facilitation services for the Upper Deschutes Advisory Group (UDAG). In their management authority role in overseeing the State Scenic Waterway Program, OPRD has called together eight stakeholder organizations to collaboratively work together to review the underlying needs, rules, and future development of portions of the Upper Deschutes State Scenic Waterway. Staff and volunteer facilitators will take UDAG stakeholders/participants through a five phase facilitation process beginning in September, 2016 through to completion on/about March, 2017. Our 'Project Plan' was submitted and approved by OPRD for execution and in addition to initial research and development of project-specific products and techniques for use during UDAG sessions, the team will shortly engage individual stakeholders to orient them on our process, talk about project outcomes, and answer any questions or concerns they may have prior to group collaborative sessions.
